An article about some of the most relevant didactic aspects of the course "UCE15 Seminários" was published in the "European Journal of Engineering Education". The article, entitled "An integrated approach to develop professional and technical skills for informatics engineering students", is co-authored by J. M. Fernandes, N. van Hattum-Janssen, V. Fonte, A. Nestor Ribeiro, L. P. Santos, and P. Sousa.

Rui Quelhas and Nuno Abreu, two MEI students currently finishing the 2nd academic year, will present results of their dissertations at the 11th Conference on Computer Networks (CRC2011). This event, which will take place in Coimbra, on November 17-18, is the Portuguese forum for the presentation and discussion of high-quality research results in the area of ​​computer networks.

On Oct.02, Carlos Miguel Regedor Tower was in Lisbon to attend the International Symposium on Project Approaches in Engineering Education (PAEE 2011). The main objective was to present a paper, written by himself and his colleague Luís Couto Duarte, also a MEI student .

Carlos Miguel Regedor Torre and Luís Duarte Couto, two 2nd year MEI students, will present their ideas around the experiences and practices in current approaches to project-based learning at the International Symposium on Project Approaches in Engineering Education (PAEE 2011).
